The Founding of ByteRatio
ByteRatio was founded in 2019 in the Washington, D.C. metro area by Donald McKinley, with a vision to bridge the gap between technological innovation and real-world mission success. From day one, the company was built on a people-first approach, ensuring that every solution was not only technologically advanced but also aligned with the mission-critical needs of our customers.
In 2024, Linda Flannery took the helm as President and CEO, bringing a fresh perspective and strategic vision to ByteRatio’s continued evolution. Under her leadership, we have expanded our capabilities, embraced cutting-edge technologies, and strengthened our mission-driven approach all while prioritizing the dedication to make our people come first.

As President and CEO of ByteRatio, Linda Flannery leads with purpose, empathy, and a deep belief in the power of people. With decades of experience guiding teams and organizations through transformation and growth, Linda brings heart and strategy together to foster a workplace where innovation, trust, and collaboration thrive.

Erin holds an MBA with a focus on entrepreneurship and is passionate about building and fostering a cohesive company culture. Erin believes in transformational leadership and encourages outside-the-box thinking to inspire innovation, creativity, and long-term success.

Don Mckinley
Strategic Growth
Don has been associated with the Intelligence Community since 2003. He first started working for Oracle Corporation and then transitioned to TRS Consulting, Inc. in May 2004.
In 2019, Don founded ByteRatio, Inc. where he served as President and CEO until June of 2024. ByteRatio, Inc. was acquired by AttainIT LLC and Don transitioned into a new role serving as a Strategic Growth advisor.
Don and his spouse Lori have 6 children. They enjoy living in Western Loudoun County. In his spare time, he likes to spend time with family, his 5 German Shepherds, and mow his lawn. He is a 50-year fan of the Oakland Raiders!

Jamie Sansom
Director of Admissions
Jamie is a hands-on leader who values efficiency, collaboration, and adaptability. She believes that strong operational foundations are essential to long-term business success and is passionate about creating environments where teams can thrive.
Outside of work, Jamie brings the same energy to her community. A sports enthusiast and long-time coach, she led varsity softball for six years and now serves as Vice President of the Eagles Athletic Association, supporting youth athletics and local engagement.
In her free time, Jamie loves spending time with her two boys and her husband Jeremey.

Mike Kennedy is a people-focused technical recruiter and account manager with over seven years of experience supporting the Intelligence Community. He found his true passion in helping others and is driven by a belief that the best companies put people first and never stop pushing the standard forward. That’s what brought him to ByteRatio— a team built on trust, innovation, and shared success.
Outside of work, Mike enjoys life with his wife, Anna, and their dog, Olive. He loves traveling, hiking, weight training, and rooting for the Commanders and Nationals. He also collects sneakers and cassette tapes, fueled by a deep curiosity and love for both craft and nostalgia.

David Hunter brings a thoughtful blend of experience, curiosity, and craftsmanship to his role as a Senior Software Engineer. While he enjoys the excitement of working with new technologies, he finds deep satisfaction in diving into legacy systems— understanding how they work and finding elegant ways to make them even better.
When he’s not solving complex software challenges, you’ll likely find David tinkering in his garage, riding his motorcycle, capturing moments through his camera lens, or simply enjoying time outdoors.

Driven by curiosity and a passion for solving problems that don’t come with easy answers, Mike thrives in mission-focused environments surrounded by thoughtful,
motivated teams. He also leads the company’s internship program, where he enjoys mentoring emerging engineers and helping them find their footing in the field.
Mike lives in Round Hill, VA with his wife Christy, their four kids, and two dogs. Outside of work, he’s usually found exploring new places, enjoying a slice of pizza, or sipping coffee with his family.

Christopher Shaw is a seasoned Senior Systems Engineer with over 20 years of experience keeping critical systems running smoothly across the Intelligence Community.
He’s passionate about solving tough technical problems, leading agile teams, and making sure everything from system health to security stays on track.
When he’s not deep in code or sprint planning, you’ll likely find him enjoying downtime with his family, which is where he’s happiest.

Chief Morale Officer
Langley is a 4-year-old chocolate lab with a heart of gold, a nose for snacks, and the emotional intelligence of a seasoned team lead. Named after Langley High School, she proudly serves as ByteRatio's unofficial Chief Morale Officer, bringing tail wags, belly flops, and contagious joy to every corner of the office.
A proud Aries, Langley is as lovable as she is stubborn. She enjoys long naps in the middle of the hallway, surprise visits to your desk, and offering "help" during lunch breaks. Her favorite treats include peanut butter, bananas, and anything else she can sniff out before you know what's missing. We couldn’t imagine a workday without her.
